We understand you are angry that Hamas killed many civilians in Israel on October 7, 2023.

Since October 7th, the Israeli military (IDF) has carried out mass arrests and detained more than 3.260 Palestinians, including 120 women and over 200 children.

Many of these arrests took the form of violent night raids, where the IDF stormed the homes of those arrested, assaulted family members and destroyed their property.

Until recently, there were 7.000 Palestinian political prisoners in Israeli jails, including over 2.500 in administrative detention without charge or trial.

On November 24, 25 and 26, 2023, – … 117 Palestinian women and children were released by the Israeli military and police, – as part of a prisoner and hostage exchange at the start of the four-day temporary ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

Among those released were 30 women and 87 children from the West Bank and Jerusalem, the oldest of whom was a 58-year-old woman who had been detained without charge.

According to Israeli authorities, Hamas fighters killed around 1.200 civilians during the October 7 attack. According to the health authorities in Hamas-controlled Gaza, up to 23.000 people have been killed in Gaza since October 7th as a result of the Israeli attacks.

Before we end this article and conversation, we would like to introduce you to a documentary film – Ahmed and The Olive Tree.

A documentary filmed in Hebron, in the period 2016-2020, and therefore not a documentary produced or filmed as a reaction to the HAMAS attack of October 7, 2023, but merely a documentary that seeks to capture the life and everyday life of a young Palestinian 13-year-old boy. Not a pleasant experience when you hear and see how Israeli settlers treat Palestinians who are trying to make a life for themselves.
