Dear Mr. Trump, – time and development in the western countries, – it is on our side!

President of United States Donald Trump

Dear Mr. Trump.

I know it means a lot to you to make America great again.

When I look at the statistics for your country, just your country’s foreign debt, it tells me that you and your country are in big troubles.

Especially if the BRIC countries start paying for oil in currencies other than US dollars more than they do now. A development that makes dollars less interesting to hold unless you raise interest rates. And that will be the beginning of long-term inflation for your country, with less and less ability to compete in the international market with the products you want to export.

__

Mr. Trump, – let’s go back to the beginning of this letter, – you and your country are facing enormous challenges that, if not solved, will put your country in big troubles.

Taking over Greenland will not be the solution for your country’s future.

Choosing to challenge your long-standing good relationship with Denmark will not be the solution for the future of your country.

For you and your country, challenging Denmark and Greenland could even make things worse for your country if the European countries decide to stand strong together against you when challenging Denmark and Greenland.

You are considering starting a trade war with Denmark and other countries because you want more production in your country. It makes sense in many aspects.

… But why not work intensively with Denmark and Greenland to improve the future of our countries.

… and why not work intensively with all the European countries to improve the future of our countries.

___

None of us wants to harm the future of your country or our own countries.

… not many years ahead of us, Africa will become the new continent of economic prosperity, of economic growth and development, for many countries – also outside of Africa.

Why shouldn’t the European countries and the US not work together to unleash the growth and development potential of the African continents. As the big investors. Once Africa starts to have a lot of people with money in their pockets, they will become a huge export market for our countries.

___

I know that you see the BRIC countries as a big challenge in many aspects, – but let me just point out that many of the citizens of the BRIC countries, young as well as more mature people, often visit Denmark, and I have had the opportunity to talk to many people from several of the BRIC countries, – and they do not strike me as people who wants to be hostile to the Western countries, – even though some of their political or religious leaders representing their countries may be hostile to the Western countries.

… People and most countries – are mentally on the side of the West and that means, that time and development is on our side – we just need to increase cooperation to improve economic growth and development in Africa and other countries with unrealized development potential that will make Western countries very attractive to work with.

So, – let’s not be hostile towards each other in the Western world, it will only make us lose and not become part of the future and countries and continents with unrealized growth and development potential.

Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen

I know that the Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen can be a ‘nasty woman’ – but she is much more than that, she is also the woman who will stand strong with you – if you, in your behavior and strategies invites her to work with you.

… So please reconsider your strategies so that we can all work together for a better future for us all.

Yours sincerely

Marcus Vigilius Brendstrup
