Debating Narratives: Professor Dinesen on Ukraine War.
In the video below, Professor Glenn Dinesen challenges the narrative of the war in Ukraine – that for NATO and several Western countries, it is all about securing freedom, sovereignty and democracy in Ukraine.
Before you watch the video, we would like to give you as a reader, some information about Professor Glenn Dinesen, so you don’t say, – “I was manipulated by information from a professor who has too much sympathy for Russia”.
Glenn Eric Andre Diesen (born 1979) is a Norwegian political scientist who has specialised in Russian foreign policy and geopolitics. He is a professor at the Department of Economics, History and Social Sciences at the University of Southeast Norway. From 2018 to 2020, he was employed at the Moscow School of Economics, when he joined the University of Southeastern Norway as Associate Professor, where he became Professor in 2021. In the public he is also known as commentator on russian media.
… Some media have questioned his objectivity, caused by Professor Glenn Dinesen have been commentating on the Russian channel RT. Some media, have even gone so far as saying, Professor Glenn Dinesen is an instrument for Russian propaganda.
Is it fair, to label a professor – as an instrument of Russian propaganda, because he has commented on the Russian TV channel RT and if so, what about professors who comment on Western media channels like BBC, CNN and Fox News, – are those professors primarily working for pro-Western interests in their research?
We at ThePeoplePress.com believe, that the best way to determine whether a person is credible and honest is to listen to their arguments, while paying attention to if their arguments are supported by documentation.
… so as a reader – with the above information in mind – we find it more respectful to let you decide for yourself, if Professor Glenn Diesen is someone – whose information you would recognise as valid and relevant information, for understanding the war between Ukraine and Russia. This is not to say that there may not be information, you experience as missing from Professor Glenn Diesen’s – as part of having a full overview of the causes of the war between Ukraine and Russia.
We hope you will enjoy the video:
