… With strong early adoption and government-backed funding, People’s Doctor could be Denmark’s next global export success!
The founder of NetDoktor, Carl Brandt, is spearheading a new health tech venture that leverages artificial intelligence to tackle one of the industry’s biggest bottlenecks: … Time
Denmark has long been known for world-class healthcare and digital innovation. Now, a new startup—People’s Doctor—is positioning itself at the intersection of those two strengths with an AI-powered assistant designed to reshape how doctors work.
At the helm is Dr. Carl Brandt physician and entrepreneur, who previously founded NetDoktor, one of Europe’s most successful health portals. His new venture builds on decades of experience in digital health, now applied to the frontier of AI.
The company’s solution acts as a real-time assistant during consultations, automatically generating structured medical notes and highlighting clinical follow-up points. The result: doctors spend up to – 75% less time on administration – freeing resources for direct patient care while ensuring regulatory compliance with GDPR, national documentation requirements, and the EU AI Act.
Strong early traction
The technology is already being piloted in 39 GP clinics across Denmark, where early adopters report faster documentation, higher accuracy, and more time for meaningful patient interaction.
One GP, Dr. Lars Kensmark describes the shift:
“Notes are now created faster, more precisely, and with better structure—without touching a keyboard. This gives me more time with patients and improves follow-up.”
Backed by public investment
The Danish state’s investment arm – EIFO – has injected capital into People’s Doctor, signaling confidence in its scalability and international potential. The solution directly addresses three pressing challenges in healthcare systems worldwide:
- Shortage of clinical time
- Need for structured follow-up
- Unequal access to high-quality care
Positioned for international growth
With global healthcare markets under pressure, the demand for AI solutions that enhance efficiency while improving outcomes is surging. People’s Doctor enters this space at a pivotal moment, leveraging Denmark’s strong regulatory framework and reputation for health innovation to scale internationally.
“AI is not here to replace doctors—it’s here to make them better,” says Dr. Brandt. “Our vision is to become a trusted digital co-pilot for physicians worldwide.“
